"Good car - great car :)"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Well, the transmission went out 1 month after I bought it. $1,400 dollars later I was on the road again.

The main serpentine belt broke shortly after that and was replaced without incident.

The oil pressure sensor went out and was replaced.

The hub assemblies all the way around the car have been replaced and packed with new bearings.

A new windshield was installed in July 2001 (car ahead of me sent a rock flying and my windshield caught it).

The clock display on the radio has gone out, but the radio still works.

General comments?

I am very meticulous about my car and keep it clean and waxed. I also keep the inside exceptionally clean and the interior is as good as new.

I run Prolong in the gas tank and in the crankcase. I also run transmission treatment stuff in the transmission casing. I also keep my engine very clean, using Armor All on all the hoses to keep them supple.

This car is in great shape and still gets 27 MPG when on the freeway with the V6.

It has a lot of miles, but has never let me down. It starts well, drives well, acts well and looks well. I would love to have another one of these cars if one became available for a good price.

I originally paid $4,995 for it back in November 1999 and could still get $3,200 for it now.

Is it possible to get a Dynasty with a RELIABLE automatic transmission?

The Die-Nasty is a perfect car for a young driver. It's easy to drive, easy to insure, and a stealth speeder. It has a reputation as a old-persons vehicle, and hence police will not give it a second glance. Back in my younger days, while all of my friends were getting monstrous speeding tickets and paying a fortune for insurance, the die-nasty kept me out of trouble and kept money in my pocket. It is a real shame that they aren't produced anymore, as I owned two and both went to over 400,000 km before they finally died. Highly recommended.

My Die-nasty aka Bedrock. 1992 - 2005. Where can I start? I got it back in 2001 for $900 and it was my first car. Very deceptive to others when doing a little street racing on my way home from a night out partying. Roomy like a New Yorker and quick acceleration like a go-kart. I wish I had something positive to say about the die-nasty, but it was getting behind times. Everything broke down on me and proved to be too costly to repair. Perfect College car, however. Moved everything from my dorm room into my car all the way home in one trip. I just lost mine in a car accident. He was only 13. R.I.P.

I hated my cousin when he got the Dynasty over me. I would have loved to have gotten it, it was exactly what I wanted. I didn't feel so bad however, when the transmission went out on it.
