1994 Dodge Grand Caravan SE review from North America
"The best $2,500.00 I have spent on a vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had problems with the "check engine" light for about 50,000 miles now... I couldn't find a mechanic who could find the problem... so I ignore it. It only happens on very hot days or when driving for more than an hour.
The transmission rattles badly.
I have had to replace the front passenger wheel.
The air conditioner was intermittent when we bought it and I have not fixed it... it has since failed completely.
The rear wiper has not worked for about 90,000 miles... not really necessary for my area.
The heater failed at 200,000 miles and is getting repaired later this summer.
I did have the transmission fluid flushed at 99,000 miles. Maybe that is why it is still moving...
General comments?
The van loves to cruise at 70mph, 2100 rpm in 4th gear.
I enjoy the get up and go when I need it... but I treat it like the Grande Dame that it is, and only do that when necessary to get out of the way.
I like the factory radio/cassette player.
