1999 Dodge Grand Caravan SE review from North America
"Great Value"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Exterior Speed Sensor on transmission failed at 35,500 miles. 5 minute fix at the dealership. (Zero deductible Warranty paid for this.)
Passenger side slider actuator replaced at 47,000 miles. (In English, this means that the automatic door lock mechanism on the passenger side sliding door was replaced. Zero deductible Extended Warranty paid for this.)
Front Evaporator Replaced at 47,000 miles. (The AC is used 100% of the time in Florida. Dealership installed a new one in less than a day! Zero deductible Extended Warranty paid for this.)
General comments?
Great fuel mileage for a 4,000 pound vehicle. 23mpg @ 70mph. 19mpg combined.
Premium Fuel not required.
Excellent family hauler.
For it's intended use and weight, the running costs are very reasonable.
Brakes, Pads, rotors, drums, shoes are all original. Inspection at 44,000 miles shows plenty of meat left.
