"Beautiful, comfortable van, but too many problems"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Transmission failed and was rebuilt at 90,000 miles.

Body Controller Module failed and replaced at 95,000 miles.

Starter replaced at 80,000 miles.

Water pump failed and was replaced.

Rear window exploded.

Rear wiper quit working.

Side door electric door lock intermittent.

Stereo/cassette unit had to be replaced.

Rear hatch prop rod broke.

General comments?

It is a very good looking mini-van. The LE package adds alloy wheels, dark tint windows, body side molding, overhead computer center, and leather seats.

The van has lots of power and the leather seats are very comfortable.

Lots of little, annoying things have gone wrong with this vehicle and several very expensive items have had to be replaced. (transmission and body controller module)

Resale value is very low, even if kept in top condition. I would have traded or sold it long before now if I could have got a reasonable price.

I had a dodge Aries k, couldn't find anything worse.

And then I have a 94 caravan, better, but have most of your problems. Solution: no more Chrysler junk products. If you are buying n. American, try gm.

Go ahead and try a GM if you want to find out what a bad car is really like, last month had a customer come through my work with a 1994 Chrysler Town & Country (same thing just fancy) with 240,000 miles on it the only two problems he had was the tranny went out at 90,000 and the temp display went crazy. The next day another customer came through with a 2006 Chevy Uplander with 14,000 miles, the trim was peeling of the outside and the fake wood was peeling off around the stereo also plastic trim pieces were falling off on the inside. Now I will not say Chrysler makes the best cars out there, unless they pay me lots of money to say that, but if you want a minivan you will not find a better value then a Dodge and as far as I can tell the only other one that can come close is the Toyota. Just a thought every time Chevy introduces a new minivan they change the name. Why do you think that is?
