1998 Dodge Grand Caravan LX review from North America
"Don't bother"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Very strange knocking noise sometimes coming from front end. When I back up it sounds like I ran over something. Serpentine belt gone bad. Hatch door in back has a large dent in it? Seen many others like this.
General comments?
First of all I fell in love with this mini van when I seen it. I loved the looks the inside everything. I came to find out that it has other amenities that other caravans do not. IE. It has all wheel drive? Searched that and it was not in the 98 caravan. The plates show it as a 98. The numbers as a 97? I have no clue what to think. The bad points is a large round dent in the back. I have seen many of these dents on other Grand caravans. The belt is horrendous. When I back up sounds sometimes like I ran something over??? Now there is some strange noise in the front like a very loud crunching clicking noise. But only sometimes. The dash board goes out. I have to hit it to make it work again. SOMEONE tell me. ARE THEY ALL LIKE THIS? Or did I buy a lemon? I take it back to dealer. who are great BTW> and they can't find nothing wrong... I'm at wits end really...
