1998 Dodge Grand Caravan review from North America
"Best vehicle I have ever owned!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Turn signal dosn't always work.
Day running lights sometimes flash.
Rear door broke, now the door won't stay up.
Child Locks on both sliding doors sometimes lock so you can't shut the door without pushing the button inside the door first.
General comments?
Very roomy van, you have more space in the Dodge Grand Caravan then you do in most other vans or SUVs. Gets great gas mileage. So comfortable, handles like a dream. The 2 sliding doors are awesome if you have a child in a car seat. Rides not to high not to low, perfect! Can carry long pipes and wood, this van can do what any truck can. If you only have 1 or 2 kids you can take the back seat out completely and the back of the van is like having a truck bed, with a topper. I can't say enough about this van.
I see a lot of people have had bad experiences. I guess maybe by 90,000 miles, when I bought mine everything had already gone bad and had been replaced. Or maybe it's cause it was Fords company vehicle since 1998.
