"An auto engineering nightmare, nightmare,...beware!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Transmission leaks, reoccuring problems with starter and fuel pump relays.

General comments?

First off, what a heap of huey!!! Transmission problems like everyone has been talking about.

On this one the fuel pump relay has been a freakin nightmare, as nobody can pinpoint the problem with it. Basically, van won't start, so I tap the relay and the fuel pump takes off and it starts, I do this 10 times a week, replaced relay... Nothing different, checked wiring, but nothing explains what the deal is here!!! BUY CHEVY!!

I'm on my 5th Caravan and have never had a major problem. I usually keep them 5-6 years or 100,000 miles. I really wouldn't really consider buying one with 110,000 miles for more than a couple thousand dollars. Since you got a good 40,000+ miles out of it you should think it a good deal.

Just to put this in perspective for myself: you acquired this vehicle when it had over 100,000 miles, and you put 55,000 miles on it in only 2 years. It sounds like it has actually held up pretty well. All cars are expected to start leaking and have their annoyances when you get that far past 100,000. See what happens if you change your transmission fluid and filter, and if that helps the transmission.
