1997 Dodge Grand Caravan SE review from North America
"These minivan's are horrible!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When my husband and I bought it new back in 1997, it was great. But a year after owning it, the brakes went on it. Then it was fine for the next 4 years.
Finally, the van was giving us problem after problem. We got rid of it after 88000 miles cause we could not tolerate the problems with the van.
General comments?
As was mentioned above, the van was pretty troublesome. We got cause we were first time parents. Little did we know that the van would be in the repair shop more times than we had driven it.
However, there was a big time when the van was trouble free. We wish that it had been more trouble free so that we would have kept it. Not so fast! Towards the end, the van gave us more problems that it was a nightmare to keep the damn thing. So we finally gave it up, and bought a 2004 Nissan Quest SE van.
If you like the Dodge Grand Caravan's, that's fine. However, be prepared to have it in the shop more times than you will want it to be. These vans are fine to the point, but then problems will make you decide to get rid of it like we did.
