1998 Dodge Intrepid SE review from North America
"Best car I ever owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Oil pressure sensor started to have issues at 181,000.
Transmission speed sensor replaced at 125,000.
Burns oil, nothing serious, 1.5qts per 3000 miles.
General comments?
Great car, I don't understand why everyone hates the 2.7. Changes oil and maintained religiously, just keeps going. As of today I am trading in the car, although I could probably get another 50k out of it if I wasn't buying a new car. I put over 100k on the car over three years in Wisconsin, it held up beautifully and drove great in the snow and ice. Cabin is comfortable for a tall guy, can haul up to 8ft lengths of lumber in the cabin. Just a phenomenal car from a guy who blows cars up within 50k as a rule. Mileage was about 26-27 mpg.
