1996 Dodge Intrepid ES review from North America
"I guess I've been lucky with this car according to some other misfortunates, I love the car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I love this car! I wanna sell it before it starts breaking down. The 30,000 miles that I've driven it have been fantastic. The only thing that went bad was the water pump. What a bit.. to fix. Need a lot of patience to fix it on your own. I shoulda changed the timing belt when I did, but didn't' have a camshaft pulley remover. Make sure you have the timing shafts lined up or else it won't start. Had to buy a new battery since living in Alaska -10 Degrees Fahrenheit batterys get drained fast. Fast car, but know your limits, don't race a car that looks faster, especially my bro's 98 trans am, you'll get smoked.
General comments?
Check fluid levels every 2 to 3 weeks.
Regular oil changes with MOBILE 10W or 5W / 30 depending on season (temperature)
Changed spark plugs when I got the car.
