1996 Dodge Intrepid 3.5L Base review from North America
"Amazing Car, DODGE did a GREAT JOB on this one!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The Bushings and Tie Rods had to be replaced when I bought the car. This is a 500 dollar fix if you have an expensive high quality shop do the work.
At 180,000 miles the Water Pump went out which was right on the money, according to when dodge had said. I replaced the water pump, timing belt, timing tensioner, etc. when the water pump broke.
General comments?
This car is definitely one of the Greatest cars I have ever owned. I have had several cars and Dodge has definitely shown to have amazing quality rather than all of the problems that I have had with my fords. The Dodge Intrepid not only has been reliable, but has amazing performance and handles well. The car also has a lot of room which is nice. I would recommend this car to everyone I know.
