1995 Dodge Intrepid review from North America
"Excellent, few problems, great sporty-feel car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
One week within the first 3 years of the purchase the car kept stalling randomly. A flash of the computer system fixed it right away.
Fuel pump shot at 80,000km and again at 120,000 but possibly because we bought a cheap one at the time, short on funds.
Fuel gauge seems to stick when the tank is at 1/2 tank and then when it's at 1/8th left it works again.
General comments?
Excellent handling.
In 13 years were only just having to replace major parts.
If you like the sports type of car, the sport version has a great feel for the road while driving.
It's a little bit slow at gaining speed while traveling 60+ kph, i.e. changing from 80 to 100kph when changing lanes on a highway does take more time then you hope for.
13 years and were only JUST starting to see rust.
It's been a very good running car for all these years, it's definitely worth putting the $2,000 into to fix it up to good working order. Mainly replacing the original manufacturer parts.
