1997 Dodge Intrepid SE review from North America
"GREAT car! Loved it!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
EGR valve went out at about 105,000 miles.
The inner tie rod ends had to be replaced at about 112,000 miles.
115,000 miles transmission started to fall out of gear when cold.
General comments?
Great car! Very reliable!
Every time I hit the gas it felt like I was taking off! Very powerful!
Big car! Lots of room! Very comfortable, roomy!
Loved the leather and all the extras my monster had! It was fully loaded! Power everything! Power mirrors, power seats, power windows, power locks, child lock, window lock, cruise control, traction control, 4 wheel ABS, moon roof, premium stereo, rear spoiler, trip computer... etc... etc...
However the transmission started to fall out of gear and it wasn't worth replacing it, so we ended up buying a new car today! With another monster - 2005 Dodge Magnum, 5.7L V8, HEMI!
After driving the 97 Intrepid, there was no way to get something smaller! Will miss it!
