1997 Dodge Intrepid Base from North America - Comments

I have the same problem where the oil light comes on below 1000rpm. Doesn't happen when engine is first started and cold.

I just had an oil change with new filter. Same problem persists. Also, feels like tranny is acting up when engine is not quite warm. Car kind of lurches or sputters then runs normal after warmed up.

Overall, car has been a lemon. Replaced engine at 60k, replaced tranny at 88k, replaced radiator at 130k. Car STILL has occasional overheat problem for no apparent reason. Always afraid to drive it too far from home.

I have an Intrepid Sport 3.5 with the Auto stick it's a 97 with 200000 miles and it just yesterday took a crap on me... I would say we got a deal... 12 years out of a car isn't too shabby.
