1996 Dodge Intrepid review from North America
"Simply a horrible experience"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Brakes and pads need replaced constantly.
Rotors replaced every year.
Computer went out at 102,000 miles.
Molding around doors and windows came unglued and hang down.
Bolts in doors come out, had to keep an allen wrench in the car to tighten every few weeks.
Interior lights came on and stayed on.
Constant fuse problems.
Transmission went out at 117,000.
Replaced battery three times in 4 years.
Had an oil leak when I got it and no one was ever able to give an explanation why.
General comments?
Loud road noise, even when fairly new.
The complaints I have about this car are too numerous to list. I saw once that it was the fourth worst rated car on the road (years 1995-1998 models) This is easily the worst car I ever owned. I warn people about them all the time.
