2000 Dodge Intrepid review from North America

My engine blew at 48,000 miles due to oil sludge with no prior warnings. Dealer is telling me it is my fault when the car has been well maintained.

I really loved my Dodge Intrepid when I first purchased it, it is so roomy and perfect for my family. But with no warning whatsoever the engine blew. The car had always been very well-maintained having oil changes every 2500 miles and Chrysler is blaming me for this problem saying I didn't change the oil correctly. I have been quoted 7200.00 to have the car fixed and still owe 10000.00 on the car. Every dealer that I have talked to has told me that Chrysler knows there is a problem, but the independent dealers can do nothing without their OK. There is no reason why this should have happened to a car that is only 3 years old. The dealer has also informed me that there are no replacement engines for the 2.7 only a upgrade engine which eliminates the problems my 2.7 had so in return tells me they know the engines are junk. I just want Chrysler to acknowledge their wrong doing and correct my problem. I don't feel it is my place to have to pay for it. I would definitely be grateful to anyone who can offer any information on how to start or join a class action suit against them for this.
