"A sporty and dependable auto"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Rear wheel bearing failed at 60,000 miles.

Door weather stripping shrinkage.

General comments?

Decent acceleration and good handling.

Super fuel economy always in high 20's mpg.

Roomy interior and great sounding stereo.

I have the same weatherstripping shrinkage on my 2000 Dodge Intrepid as well. I have it on all 4 doors and the dealer states it is obviously a defect, but Chrysler will not fix it unless I pay. Do not buy a product from a company that does not back up their product from defects.

I also have & am having problems with the door seal

mine are on all 4 as well. I didn't think rubber material

could shrink that much. Mine are right where my head is

while driving & is just too much road noise.

But I have had no major problems with this automobile

i bought it @ 57000 miles {second hand}& have 72000 miles.

I have read about the engine {sludge}problem {2.7}

and to be honest I am concerned???

I bought the extended warranty, hope it pays off if needed.

I to have trouble with my weather striping on all 4 doors when I open one window I feel a big draft on my head I think the weather striping should be recalled on all intrepids I to own a 2000.

I also have the problem with the weather stripping. I first noticed it when I was driving and heard a wind noise. Does anyone know a ballpark amount of how much I would be spending to fix it?

2000 Dodge Intrepid door gasket shrinkage.

About $200 parts cost will get you all 4 gaskets.

My fear, they will shrink again.
