2001 Dodge Intrepid SE review from North America

Front end has a shimmy in it.

There is a rattling noise in the front I can't find.

The transmission has slipped on several occasion's.

Twice the car on acceleration felt like it the engine died, but hadn't, Don't know what that was all about?

The Air conditioner loses refrigerant every 2 months.

At one oil change was told I needed to have an engine treatment to clean the oil, the car had 40,000 miles on it at that time and I change the oil every 3000 miles.

I changed the brakes and now there is a squeal I can't get rid of. I am a trained mechanic so yes I know full well how to change brakes.

I have read about all these 2.7L engine sludge problems as well as having heard Chrysler's answer to them. Being that these people have not taken care of their cars. Well, What will they say to me when my engine quits and I produce every receipt for every oil change showing 3000 to 3500 miles between oil changes? It's going to be pretty hard for them to argue with me about it. I am giving up on new cars that can't be fixed myself and remember I'm a mechanic! Think my next car will be a 1965 Oldsmobile I have plenty of spare parts for Oldsmobile. And heck my last cutlass lasted 15 years and 250,000 miles and is actually still going as a second car it may outlast my Intrepid from the sounds of it.
