What things have gone wrong with the car?
After reading the other comments and talking with my peers who had this car (Fleet vehicle), I consider my self lucky, because I escaped relatively unscathed. Paint was cheap and scratched real easy. I did have the back door locks stop working, the crankshaft sensor went, and I had an intermittent problem with the HVAC, it would not work, then I'd turn a corner or hit the brakes and it would work again. Dealer tried 2 times and couldn't diagnose. Go Figure!
General comments?
The car was always good to me. I did regular service and it held up pretty well. The paint was crappy and scratched very easy, but the interior and exterior in general held up well. It did have adequate power and since it didn't have traction control, it would peel out a little and if you time it correctly, wou can chirp second. Pretty cool for a fleet car. My new car is a Magnum with the same motor, and it is tough to get anything out of those tires, even from a stop in the rain (with TSC disabled of course). I know the quality history of this model is spotty, and my previous '93 was a junker, but this car did me right.
