My 99 Dodge Neon has been a blessing to own. It's MUCH more comfortable
than any competitors car. I ought to know, I drive 450 miles a week. It's only
been to the shop twice. Once for a computer problem that was fixed in half
a day, cost 100 dollars I think. The other was for a small knocking sound that came from the front of the car ever since id owned it. The sound is audible at idle, but, its not a big deal. I think I've been blessed big time with
this car. Its like an old chair you don't want to get rid of so you keep
it till it falls apart.
Handling is excellent.
Comfortable seats on 1999 models they changed the 2002 seats and its
not a comfortable car anymore unfortunately
Excellent Audio System even without a tape player.
Fastest 4 cylinder car except for Hyundai.
Interior is normal looking and durable.
Dodge made a big mistake by changing some small things on the neon in 00.
I own a 1999 Neon and I agree wholeheartedly with this writer. I love my '99 Neon. It has been very faithful and reliable and in almost 6 years I've only taken it to the repair shop 2X. Cost all together about $300O. I call that pretty good for 5 years of excellent service.
