1998 Dodge Neon Coupe review from North America
"It can be reliable and cost efficient if it is maintained properly"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The only problems that I have had with parts are due to natural wear and tear.
I've had to replace the head gasket. This was not a difficult task. The only thing that I had to worry about was purchasing the head gasket. No more than twenty dollars.
I have had to replace the camshaft positioning sensor. This was kind of my fault for replacing the head gasket a little bit late. It was no problem replacing this myself, as well. I spent fifteen dollars on this.
I replaced numerous parts due to regular maintenance.
The only real problem that troubles me is how numerous models have had problems with the original paint peel.
General comments?
Overall, this car has proved to be reliable. Compared to a friend of mine who has the same model, I have noticed that the outcomes depend on how well the automobile is maintained.
At the mileage that I have on my car, I am surprised that the engine still has life and power for a few more years.
The fuel efficiency is outstanding. It does not take much to fill up on fuel and make it last.
