1996 Dodge Neon review from North America
"Good for a short time not for a long time"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The head gasket blew at 109,000km. Luckily this was covered by an extended warranty package I had purchased from the used car dealership.
The brakes have been changed once at about 190,000.
At 215,000km the alternator belt broke and the fuel pump is causing some concern. The mechanic is telling me that the may be some electrical problem which is the source of the problem which has caused me to have to change the fuse for the fuel pump 5 times in the same day.
General comments?
I believe that the car has done well up until now. It has served its purpose and it is time to put it out to pasture.
I feel that the car was a great first car, but I would probably not, but another one.
It is great on gas.
