1989 Dodge Raider from North America - Comments

"I wouldn't drive anything else - a great rig!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I had to get new shocks when I first got it.

The water pump was replaced at 175,000 miles.

My incline-o-meter leaked down into my dash and I had to replace the defrost cable.

The fan belt was replaced at 150,000 miles.

General comments?

I hit a deer going 80 MPH in my Raider and it only made a dent in my front bumper. I have been rear ended and have hit a couple other things, and not a scratch. Tough enough for any situation.

The Raider is an awesome rally truck, the 4 wheel drive works excellently.

This rig has lots of power and I have no problems accelerating or going up hills. The only problem is you have to slow down for those corners - a bit tipsy, a very minor inconvenience.

Definitely not made to haul a bunch of people - 4 people barely fit in there and they usually have a heck of a time trying to get into the back seat.

I love my Raider! My next car is either going to be another Raider or the 4 door Montero.

I have also had the same problem with the inclinometer, where it leaked onto the dash. If anyone else has been able to fix it please send me info. jalittle@comcast.net.
