1980 Dodge Ramcharger SE review from Kenya
"African"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The starter motor was replaced at 130000miles.
As far as I know, nothing else except the U-joints have been changed on this car.
General comments?
Owing to the fact that it is only one of three remaining Ramchargers brought into Kenya for off road racing;
there seems to be a mix and match of parts, but otherwise has been extremely reliable in the African "outback".
Previous neglect left her in bad shape, but now with a bit of TLC she is never going to be sold off. In the land of Toyotas, this one stands out as the Toyota eater! The fuel "economy" is not the best, but worth the performance. More economical to run than a Range Rover... more satisfying to drive too.
