1993 Dodge Spirit ES review from North America

I had to have the engine rebuild at 90,000 about $3000 on the expensive side.

Fuel pump replaced at 140,000.

Whole exhaust replaced at 150,000.

Just service and oil changes otherwise.

To be honest this has been the most reliable car I ever owned compared to my previous 1988 Volkswagen Fox and my current 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. Both these cars gave me nothing but a big headache.

For a midsize car it got me excellent gas mileage.

Looks small on the outside but its very roomy in the inside. However I was not happy with the headroom and I'm not that tall.

I also did not like how it handled when ever I had to punch it.

When I bought this car it came with the Pioneer stereo system and sounded incredible in this car.

This was made in 1992 but was out for 1993 so the one I had was with the redesigned front end but the rest still had the box shaped design. When I first showed this car to my Grampa he said "Well what do you know? It's a box on wheels!".

It was comfortable but did not handle great. I guess it was the way the suspension was made.

The 3.0 V6 is not the fastest but it was quick enough for me and it was even more quick after I had the engine rebuild, and at the same time they replaced the air filter, fuel filter and I always used high octane 93 and this car had really nice pickup!

I miss this car. I had drove this car for 7 years. I got me through High School, College, and got me through my 2 worst jobs I ever worked. This car has always been there for me. It was Just like having a 2nd mom. I'm really sorry I got another car.

I'm about to cry. I need a drink!!!
