Hello I have a 1993 red stealth base model with an automatic transmission I have two questions can I switch the base motor with a DOHC? will it fit? also can I switch the automatic with a 5 speed? how much work would this entail?
I have a 93 dodge stealth (originally silver in color... it is now black) i have had it for 6 years and it now has 140,000 miles on it and still running strong. I did however have a major electrical problem in the car that has not been totally fixed yet, I have gone thru 2 radiators, 2 clutches, and have done numerous other small repairs here and there. I do love this car and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I plan on having this til I retire (I'm only 23) i was just wondering if anyone else has had the electrical problems I'm having.
Hi, my name is Paul and own a 93 stealth. I love this car even though its just the base model. My problem is I had the transmission rebuilt and the car sat garaged a year, then I had the water pump and timing belt replaced. It drove perfect for a week then the transmission went out. Can anybody tell me why? And, where can I purchase a quality transmission for my car?
Hi my name is Guy Kergen from Luxembourg
I have a 1991 Dodge Stealth r/t turbo and it's a dream, I have it modified a little! Chiptuning for more performance in lower Rps and another exhaust system (downpipes) So my stealth has now 380 HP!
Its my Dream car, but its my 2nd stealth, the first I crashed after 6 months because I was asleep!!! Car totaly wrecked, but I had nothing.

Hi, my name is Justin and I own a 1993 Dodge Stealth R/T. The car is an amazing car. Although it's an automatic, it still has extremely good response. 222hp is a lot of hp for me, and should be for a lot of you. Although this r/t fits my needs, it may not be enough horsepower for you, But hey who am I to judge, everybody likes their own styles. Well anyways, I am the original owner and I got the car for my 18th birthday just at the end of 1993. It has just over 38k, believe it or not.
The question I've got for you lot is about my transmission. Now she's got almost 40k on her and the transmission keeps slipping. I honestly don't understand wants going on, especially when it's practically new?
One time I was driving on a straight road and I was doing around 60, but the car wouldn't go into gear 4 so I put my foot down and finally when I reached around 5 thousand revs it went into 4th gear. Any comments or hints about what's going on would be good.
Are they really worth all the work?
How about forgetting the Dodge Stealth and just get a Viper!! Or how about a Corvette that is not twin turbo or 4 valve per cylinder, but still produces the same amount of power or even more. Better yet, how about a 2002 or so SS Camaro with more power than a stock Stealth R/T.
