1997 Dodge Stratus ES review from North America
"A pleasure to own and drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The air conditioner compressor locked up shortly after I bought the car, at around 25,000 miles. It was covered by the manufacturer warranty, and the service department at the dealership where I purchased the car took care of the problem promptly and expertly. The AC has worked perfectly ever since.
General comments?
So far, this car has been a pleasure to own and drive. The engine is quite possibly the tightest engine I've ever owned. It has 94,000 miles on it now, and it never uses a drop of oil. (I run Valvoline DuraLube synthetic blend 10W-30 exclusively, and have since I acquired the car.) I've gone through 2 sets of tires due to my own negligence in getting the front end aligned on schedule, but the car rides beautifully.
