I've got a dodge tradesman200 with a 318 v8, it lacks power accelerating and going up hill, it try's but stumbles then "slowly" gains speed, my friend thinks it is a clogged catalytic converter. any suggestions please contact me at Sabba_and_sarah@yahoo.com."
It could be your vacuum advance. If the springs wear out, or the diaphragm gets a hole in it, the engine vacuum can't advance the spark under acceleration load.
Other simple fixes could be the fuel filter and the fuel pump.
Also be mindful of the timing chain, which could have jumped a tooth if it has many miles.
I am looking to buy a 1970's dodge Karyvan. It is otherwise known as the CB300, CB400, and box van. I had one with a walkthrough door so you can enter from the cab into the box body.
I have a 78 B-200 van with 4 wheel drive, am I alone?
We recently bought a 1976 Dodge Tradesman 200 camper van. The 318 had been garage rebuilt but it still needs work, as the previous owner did very little to it. I would like to find any sites that show these vans restored. Any other useful info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
