1993 Eagle Summit DL review from North America
"Old, banged up, but still reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Hood latch broke while I was driving on a highway, sending my hood flying at my windshield at 55mph.
Trunk latch/lock broke.
Glove dept door jammed.
Transmission & Clutch went out on me at the same time.
General comments?
Seeing as how I bought the car 5 years after it had been made, I really cannot complain too much. I've had it now for a little over 3 years, and while I've put more money into it than I wanted to... overall it has been quite reliable as I make frequent trips out of state and thus the reliability is always important. It does get great mileage on the hwys. Not much more sportiness or room. But if you are looking for a fairly cheap economy car that is relatively reliable, Summit is the one. ONLY - if you check the history to see what's already been taken care of. Otherwise you might be setting yourself up for trouble.
