1992 Eagle Summit 3 dr. hatchback review from North America
"Best car I have ever owned!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The solenoid went bad in 1995 (approx. 50,000 miles.).
The distributor (not the cap) went bad in 2000.
The computer went bad in 2000 as well.
The CV joints and clutch are way overdue for replacement (doing it this month- Feb '03).
General comments?
I love this car. It is not the coolest looking car, but it has been a warrior for me. I bought her in New Hampshire and drove it to Florida twice, before moving there, (in the Military). Recently we moved to Alabama (another transfer) and this is where she will probably retire as will I. I am getting ready to give her much needed TLC. She is getting new brakes, CV joints, clutch, tail lights (worn looking), paint job, and a timing belt. I know this will cost more than she is worth, but it will keep her going for another ten years I am sure!
