1992 Eagle Summit review from North America
"Low Budget, Low Quality Vehicle, Way overdue for a remodel"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car has handed down to me... The major problem with the car even when I didn't have it yet was that it started intermittently, leaving me stuck at random locations all the time. The problem never really started until warmer weather came. No mechanic could figure out what was wrong because we could never get the problem to occur while they were looking at it.
Rotor's were warped causing a giant grind when coming to a stop.
Leaked Oil.
Brakes failed after a few months.
The passenger side-view mirror got torn off.
Roof liner had to be pinned up.
Squealed constantly.
Weather stripping was broken.
A/C was broken (not a surprise) (we don't use freon anymore)
Someone ran into the back causing the muffler to dismount slightly... making it very loud... but there was no physical damage to body... very surprising.
My front passenger quarter panel was mysteriously dented inward one day causing the door to have problems opening.
General comments?
This car had seen it's day. It was 12 years old with VERY low mileage and one owner. But the unsatisfactory quality of the vehicle was not meant to last. Good while it lasted. It began to cost more to repair than to buy a new vehicle. Thousands were spent on this car that I only managed to receive $650 for trade-in.
