1995 Eagle Talon Esi review from North America

The solenoid pack had to be replaced in October 2006...about 6 months after I got the car. The replacement cost me almost $500.

I've had bad luck with my car as far as wrecks are concerned. I hadn't even had the car two months when some woman rammed my car in the parking lot while I was at work. Put the car in the shop for three weeks. They had to replace the tire and suspension system on the side of the car she hit...$1300 that the insurance company picked up thankfully. Second wreck involved someone pulling across two lanes of traffic in front of me. My first reaction was to swerve into the other lane. Ended up getting side swiped by someone that was coming up beside me in the other lane faster than I was going. Going to have to replace the passenger side door.

Other than that, nothing has gone wrong.

My Talon didn't have a lot of miles on it when I bought it. It was missing some parts: windshield wiper switch cover, driver side seat recliner cover. Nothing I can't get from a junkyard, though.

The seats are very comfortable. Took a road trip with three of my friends (the car was VERY crowded to say the least) and I ended up driving a total of about 10-11 hours that day. Only got uncomfortable for sitting down for so long.

The car is pretty quick in acceleration for a 4 cylinder. A lot faster than the Toyota pickup I had. It has good pick up on the highway and interstate.

The car has never run hot and has been completely reliable except for the solenoid pack. It just doesn't have enough room anymore since I've moved on to college from high school. The drive up the mountains can put a strain on the car at times, but the car takes it and keeps on going. Hate to get rid of her.
