1991 Eagle Talon TSI Turbo review from North America
"I've been driving for 15 years and counting: if I didn't like it, I wouldn't have kept it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Dash board warped, brake rotors warp quickly, thermostat shot, clutch slave cylinder, computer fried twice, idle speed control motor, crank angle sensor, O2 sensor, struts.
General comments?
I've owned this car 15 years and it's still my daily driver. Overall it has been very reliable and cheap transportation. It really needs an overhaul now since it's burning quite a bit of oil and I can't find anyone that can fix the idle speed problem. I have taken very long trips - sometimes 15 or more hours straight and it has proven extremely confortable seat and handles terrific. I've never had anything done to the A/C, never had it aligned, and never even had the valve cover off, and it still drives very nice. Oh, also had the wheels straightened twice since they are such a soft alloy. Transmission (5-spd) is still in great shape. 213,000 miles and still a race horse.
