1991 Eagle Talon TSi from North America - Comments

"Major Stang duster"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Original alternator went bad at 200,000 miles.

ECU capacitors started leaking onto the board, a common problem for 200,000+ DSM's.

Transmission is starting to slip at 2nd gear, but to be expected with that amount of miles.

General comments?

Very awesome car, love the looks and the interior is well designed for the driver.

Handles like a dream and sticks to the road.

Bought endless mods and up to 350 horsepower and does 12 second quarter miles, and no axles or engine have blown yet.

I've never lost a race, truly a fast car.

While these are nice cars and can be made fast... don't think you can get whooped...

I have taken out a lightly modded 92 Eclipse GSX off the line and to 110 where I shutdown and ran a 98 GST and also killed him. Yes I have been beaten by a more highly modified one, but in my 89 Stock GT convertible 5 spd. These cars while challenging I was not really worried about...

By the way my stang was a DSM DUSTER... Nice cars and I own one... Which is also a 91 Model with the 4G63 motor. I also own an older Mitsubishi Sports car... which will be recieving a 4G63 itself... so don't think I am biased... but Stock for stock the stang will get you if both drivers are equal...

Stangs are slow a stock dsm will crush a stang any day with a 12 year old driving the dsm and a professional driving the stang, stangs suck!

Personally I like stangs, I had a 95gt. But I recently bought my girlfriend a 90 talon 2.0 DOHC non-turbo, and I ran a stang on the interstate and it couldn't dream of catching up with her car.

I own a 1990 eagle talon, stock non turbo 2.0. I have dusted many vehicles including a ford F-150 with a modified 302 in it. I have half the cylinders and still crushed him!!! So for your comment about stangs being faster I am currently modifying the engine to add a turbo and a few other little accessories because one of my friends owns a new Gt and bets me I won't dust him so I took the challenge and we will see. I will have half the money in this car as does his and I WILL BLOW HIM AWAY!!! OH yeah it is an automatic too and I still dusted the 5 speed F-150 so ha take that ford fans!!!

Hey buddy, a F-150 weighs 5000 pounds and has 250HP and your car weighs 3000 pounds and has 195HP, trucks don't race, they work.
