1992 Eagle Talon TSI AWD review from North America
"High performance without the high gas consumption"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch went out at 105,000 miles.
Power windows jump around sometimes and don't operate perfectly smoothly.
Nothing else.
General comments?
The good:
For a 92, the car's in incredible condition and the paint shines like new.
It's very very very fast with minor modifications. ~200 HP stock, spend a few hundred on an exhaust system, increase the turbo boost to 15-16 PSI and you can run with most cars with engines 2.5x the size.
The car handles exceptionally well stock. I modified the suspension and now it drives even better.
Great braking power.
Very cold, perfect A/C even after 9 years on the road.
Everything electrical works like it's brand new.
The all wheel drive makes the car a blast to drive, and keeps it safe in any weather. I've had it in deep snow, heavy rain, etc. with no problems.
The bad:
Back seats are too small.. but it's a sports car so this is expected.
Premium gas (92+ octane) is a must.
Mobil 1 synthetic oil is a must.
