1992 Eagle Talon DOHC AWD TSI from North America - Comments

"An excellent street-racer for the lover of fast cars"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Front suspension is having some problems. Started shaking past 65 miles per hour despite new tie-rods, U-joints, end-joints.

Seats are thin cloth and are wearing.

A-pillar held on with flimsy plastic clips and velcro. Had to replace one side of pillar already. In fact, have had to do a lot of interior repairs compared to other cars I have owned.

Head gasket started leaking oil at 120,000.

Timing belt went out at 110,000.

General comments?

For the money, this is one compact and fast little car.

Timing belt very easy to change. Engine in general very easy to work on - the entire engine can be rebuilt without removing it from the car.

I'm thinking of buying a 92 tsi awd with 98k on her. I know I'll need to change the timing belt if I get her. How easy is it to change it? thks.
