1997 Eagle Talon TSi review from North America
"A car I would be happy to keep forever"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The power windows have issues. The passenger side window has had a hard time at staying on the track, and when rolled down, it rattles over bumps.
The rear right wheel emits a low-tone road noise, which could be a result of the trailing arm bushings, or the shock absorber assembly.
Under warranty, the plastic moldings on the doors had cracked.
The clutch acts funny after a left hand turn, which is due to minor crank-walk. This issue can be prevented to a large degree if the need for the clutch to be depressed at startup is bypassed, as the clutch will not be putting so much force on the journal bearings when the oil has settled.
General comments?
This car is very fast and handles like a nimble dog, perhaps a miniature greyhound.
It's a very unique looking car that easily hides the fact that it's basically an Eclipse.
