"A high performance money hole"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

It all started with in one week of owning the car. The main things started to go right away.

The first and major thing to go was the trasmission. This cost $1400 to get fixed.

Next was the altinator which went the next week I got the car back. This cost $250.

Then the water pump went two days after I got the car fix. This cost $200.

After that my timming belt went. I got a new one for $30, but that's not the only thing that went.

Seven of the valves went and the car now needs a new head.

This all happened in a matter of 4 months.

General comments?

This was a great car while it was running I have always wanted to have an Eagle Talon and when I got one it was the worst one.

I will get anther one, but I want a newer one and less miles.

WOW!

That really rots.

I have a 1993 Talon with 150,685 miles on it. You can check my review on this website. I wrote a lot about it.

Stick with a 5-speed and the 1.8 motor. I am able to maintain excellent fuel mileage and still have the power to cruise along with the fast traffic.

A lot of the older Talon's these days are either really nice or shot, so be careful on your next purchase.

Good Luck.

Hey, who ever put your timing belt on prob got antifreeze on your timing belt. Belt has to be changed every 60.000miles, but will go just a bit more past 70k.i have a 92 tsi that has 236,262 miles on it and love everything about them. I worked for dmc for 3years, did lots of work to these vehs.
