1994 Ferrari 456 GT review from UK and Ireland
"A fantastic first Ferrari!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The driver's side window would always leave a gap, making high-speed cruising annoying due to the wind noise.
The front bushes went requiring an eye-watering 1200 pounds to repair.
General comments?
I had planned to use the 456 as a weekend car, but ended up using it everyday and selling my regular drive, the Ford.
It was enormously comfortable on long distances (apart from the wind noise...) and it really made you feel like the king of the road!
The engine was not responsive (due to the weight of the car) but when you put your foot down there was a pause as the engine whirred into life and launched you down the road - very addictive!
My tip: find a good cheap one and know where your nearest Ferrari specialist is - way better than similarly priced BMWs and Mercedes Benzes.
