1991 Fiat 126 BIS review from UK and Ireland
"AWESOME!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Usual seat wearing (typical fiat)
apart from that - nothing.
General comments?
Fantastic for a first car as it is the lowest insurance group (1) and seems to go forever on a tank.
If you want a cheap car that gets more looks than a porsche 911 then this is the ticket, everywhere you go people wave and smile at you! its such a happy car.
Handling is surprisingly great for such a small car, and grips corners well. Although watch out for speed bumps as its almost like driving off a small cliff. (Having said that, its often possible to drive round them :P)
Would gladly buy another one, as they are so fun! and the BIS is slightly more practical as you have a rear hatch, unlike the air-cooled. There is also a boot in the front compartment if you don't want to cook your shopping while driving along.
It small - but that just adds character to the car and makes it even more lovable.
