1996 Fiat Brava SX review from UK and Ireland
"Cheap to buy, if it would have less faults a good car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Just after I bought the car the timing belt jumped by one or two teeth, resulting the car behaving like a kangaroo, fortunately engine was not damaged.
At 35000km the exhaust had to be changed.
At about 43000 I failed the MOT because both rear shock absorbers leaked.
The followings items need to be looked after very soon:
- Clutch sticks when engine is cold
- rear wiper motor defective
- passenger electric window very slow, motor is probably soon dying..
General comments?
I am not very impressed with the quality of this car.
The riding quality is alright.
Interior is a bit plasticky, but comfy engough for a longer drive.
I bought the original CD changer from FIAT, it is attached to the side of the boot with double-sided tape. this is ridicolous and lasted about 5 minutes.
