Noisey tappets (hydraulic and v expensive to replace).
Tyre wear seems to be high.
Failed MOT recently on emissions on fast idle. Local dealership have had the car a week and still can't diagnose the fault.
Changed the MAP sensor and Lambda sensor - £47 and £92 respectively.
Have checked all the electronic side and injector side - are now asking for £350 to de-coke the head.
Small car, ideal for around town.
Not so good on long journeys.
OK car as long as you can do the servicing yourself. ie oil, water, plugs.
Keeps the cost down.
Dealer prices way too expensive for such a small car, and if you're unlucky there seems to be a lack of knowledge from the dealerships.
They seeem to employ a trial and error approach replacing parts that might cure the problem, as long as you pay!!!
I can completely sympathise with everything you are saying, I currently have a cinquecento and have and are experience the same problem with high emissions with no fault able to be found.
Out of interest, did decoking the cylinder head solve the problem?
