1997 Fiat Cinquecento SX review from UK and Ireland
"Cheap, cheerful, well worth it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well since buying the car, my speedometer needle jumps about until you reach 40 miles per hour.
I have a leak on the back seat, but not sure where it comes in.
I have a threaded wheel bolt that won't tighten.
The engine tappets are slightly tapping.
Just recently my head gasket has blown at 42450 miles.
Spark plus are rusted and one snapped whilst trying to remove it, due to the above problem.
Engine blocked with rust due to the above problem.
General comments?
Apart from only being on the road for 4 weeks the car is brilliant.
Cheap to run, tax and insure.
Great for running in and out of town.
The boot space is small, but can hold a small family of fours full weekly shop.
No good for large prams, but my buggy fits in it fine.
Spacious inside, great for a family with two small children.
Nippy little thing, you don't even realise what speed you are doing until it's to late.
