1995 Fiat Cinquecento review from UK and Ireland
"A cheap reliable, but ultimately ugly car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car has not started on 2 occasions, both times due to a dirty connection to the starter motor.
The brakes squeak continually, have been cleaned and replaced on numerous occassions, but problem percists.
Handbrake has been useless since purchase, despite passing MOT's and being replaced twice.
Back windscreen wiper and water doesn't work, never has.
Seats were broken when purchased and needed replaced.
Car is too small for my size 12 feet and I have worn hole in carpet through to metal.
Gear box is going, crunching everytime third gear is selected.
Drivers door can only be locked from inside car!
General comments?
Car is good to drive, giving you the essence of driving, no fancy electrics to take away driver control.
Cheap doesn't come close to the truth, compared to my old car (1800i) its about a third of the price.
Although ugly and most men laugh at me, the ladies love it, they all think its cute and want a ride.
