Electrics
Purchased from a Fiat Dealer with 50K on the clock. "Services" Fuse blew at random intervals. Could be dangerous as lost all lights, elec windows, wipers etc! Dealer fixed on 3rd attempt after written instructions provided from the owners group website. Cause: A bodged in radio by previous owner.
Tracking
Tyres wearing fast on inside edges. Tracking at fault fixed for £20 at ATS.
Cause: Likely to be a pot hold or curb clipping.
Quite simply one of the most beautiful cars ever produced for under 30k. Mine is British racing green with Tan leather.
Astounding performance, 0-60 in 6 seconds
Decent handling given the heavy engine and front wheel drive. But not as throwable as my previous Puma.
Nice comfortable ride 90% of the time, though doesn't like rough roads & pot holes much.
A used performance car bargain.
Economy very good for the power of the engine (220 Bhp). Does about 28-30mpg up to 34 orso on motorways. Does not like urban use though drops to mid 20s.
2 litre non turbo has same economy figures - so whats the point!
Insurance surprisingly affordable considering its group 19.
Standard Leather Seats need more bolstering to appreciate the cornering potential of the car.
Overall: Much better built than the Ford I owned previously. Fiat screwed the coupe together properly.
I would like to buy a 2000 Fiat Coupe in the states, or have one shipped to the states, so I need a left hander. Any ideas where I can find one?
Re getting a LHD coupe, there's currently a yellow one on ebay.
