2001 Fiat Marea ELX review from United Arab Emirates
"An excellent car, but even better if you find a slightly used one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Seats have started to wear badly.
Engine speed at idling keeps fluctuating although the dealer rectifies the problem during service.
Front brake pads had to replaced at 30000 km and the disks had to be realigned.
There is a lot of vibration inside the cabin especially with the Air conditioning running.
General comments?
Its good an excellent feel of a sports car in the SPORT mode. I have reached upto 198kmph and I consider it very good from a 1.6 litre engine.
Simply love the styling... the front curves are ooo-la-la.
Considering what I paid for this used car, I find it excellent value for money. Especially compared to the Corolla or the Sunny (which are very popular in the Gulf), I get a whole lot of extras which these Japanese cars can only offer on their high end saloons.
