The car has adequate power and torque for a family vehicle. It's not happy at high speeds, but handles beautifully when driven conservatively.
Visibility is excellent, there are no blind spots when emerging from junctions, and reversing is a pleasure.
The ELX provides both sun roof and climate control as standard, the belt and braces approach means that you are comfortable on even the hottest of days despite the large areas of glass.
All seats have three point seat belts and are independent of each other, meaning that the children are safe and happy.
The car has been called 'ugly'. Personally, I think it's cute, but why spend money on the outside of the car? I can see where every penny of my money has been spent whilst sitting the driving seat.
We have had some teething problems, mainly electrical, but the car has still been drivable, and the dealership has done its utmost to correct them. I wouldn't consider buying anything else.
I too think my multipla is cute, and driving about getting light flashes and waves from other multipla drivers reminds me of my days of driving morris minors, and motor bikes!
On the down side, all the door seals have fallen off more than once, which makes them very static and I get shocks off them.
And over the last 3 weeks the car has only been on the road for about 4 days, as it has got this constant fault with ''engine contrl''. Something about water getting into something. It is most inconvenient, and means the car gets fixed (sic) and when I go to pick it up it won't start in the dealership.!! they kept it 5 days last time, ''just to make sure'' Today I almost flattened the battery to get it started, and it stalled on a round about!
I love everything about this car, and am very disappointed that it is so unreliable. I have 4 kids and its great to have 6, 3 point seat belts instead of the usual having to put one poor kid on a lap belt.
My bus and taxi bills are mounting up big time however.
And after having a ford galaxy for the last 6 years, with absolutely NO breakdowns whatsoever I am beginning to regret changing to a fiat.
