2002 Fiat Punto HGT review from UK and Ireland
"Its OK, would I have another? No"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Needed a new cam variator at 20K, Repaired (warranty)
Front N/S headlight misted up, had it replaced (warranty)
Paint discoloring when wet on the door sil.
Rubber around drivers door has split. Fiat won't repair as its now under dealers warranty.
Wheel nuts rusted after about 6 months.
Mis-built car, not lateral air bags in pillars, no air bags in the side of the front seats, no seat belt pre tensioners.
General comments?
When ever there has been a problem, the dealer has always had to go back to fiat to see if they could repair it, Why?
The MPG on the car is rubbish, on a run of about 120 miles, on the motorway I average 29MPG, around town I average 26mpg (i may have a heavy right foot)
The ride generally is quite hard.
The Sat-Nav is good.
Interior is fine (no rattles)
