2000 Fiat Seicento Sporting review from UK and Ireland
"A real Italian buzzzzzz!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The wheels need tracking every 1000 miles.
The gearbox has started to knock, and is quite worrying. I have heard that this is a common problem.
The rear suspension makes an annoying creaking sound when setting off, or particuarly when getting out of the car.
General comments?
This car is very addictive to drive, and is begging to be driven every minute of the day. I love driving down a busy high street, and seeing all the eyes stare at the gleaming bodywork.
The perforance from the 1.1 engine is surprising, and lives up to the words 'sporting'. The 0-60 time is very respectable, and is a joy to achieve. 100mph is easily done, but I wouldn't recommend staying at that speed for long.
I would not class this car as a boy racer type, but when a racer pulls up along side you at the lights, you just have to boot it!
