2002 Fiat Stilo active aircon review from UK and Ireland
"Serious bargain second hand"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The on board computer diagnoses bulbs to be faulty when they are working (sometimes even when they are on).
The windscreen wipers stop in the middle of the screen. I have found the easiest way to sort this out- put your wipers on constant (second setting), after a couple of stops they will go constant, when they do this, flick the switch up one and they will go to intermitent.
The on board computer has to be reset by a dealer after each service.
Squeaks a bit.
General comments?
Don't buy one new because the first couple of depriciation in the first couple of years.
When they reach about 2 or 3 years old, they are a serious bargain.
The traction control is reassuring.
Handles beautifully.
A class above the Punto.
The skyroof is great in summer.
Even enough room in the back for adults.
The styling gets criticised for being dull and conservative, but most cars now take styling cues from Japan and Germany.
